North Phu Quoc: Things to do in one day
A day in the north does not need many stops. Give Rach Vem half a day for seafood, a speedboat trip and the sea; set the hours by the day’s tide and weather.
A relaxed plan is one with gaps in it
A comfortable itinerary leaves enough time for the drive and for rests between activities. You can start by arriving at Rach Vem, having a meal and talking through the sea trip that suits the day.
Canoe activities are confirmed according to actual conditions. Do not schedule them too close to a flight or a long transfer.
Families, friends and big groups each need a different plan
This is a suggestion, not a fixed tour. Every family should adjust it to their health, their children and the weather.

North or south Phu Quoc?
The north has Rach Vem, Ham Rong Cape and the Ganh Dau area; the south has An Thoi and Sao Beach. Sao Beach and Rach Vem are almost the length of the island apart, so do not try to fit both into one half-day.
If you are staying in the south, give the north a full day. From Duong Dong, Rach Vem is only about 30 minutes’ drive, and half a day is enough for seafood, the speedboat and the sea.
How far is Ganh Dau from Rach Vem?
Rach Vem is in the former Ganh Dau commune. From Grand World Phu Quoc (Ganh Dau) to the raft is about 20.5 km, roughly 33 minutes on Google Maps.
The road into the village follows the Suoi Cai - Ganh Dau road, and the last 2 km are red dirt. After heavy rain that stretch is slower.
